With winter here and the weather  turning colder, here are some tips to help keep your sewer from freezing...

* cover drainfield with hay or straw

* use all your water facets daily

* flush all toilets daily

The issues that you may have this winter with your septic include:

* Frozen drainfield

* Frozen sewer lines

If you have a frozen drainfield you will need to have your tanks pumped every time they are full until your drainfield thaws out.

If you have a frozen sewer line we can come out and thaw the line for you.
